Unemployment Insurance, Employment Development Department, State of California, San Diego County

Provides compensation to temporarily unemployed workers who meet the eligibility requirements set forth in applicable legislation. Unemployment claims are taken by telephone, online, mailed or faxed.

Employee Rights Center, Labor's Training and Community Development Alliance

Provides education and client representation to all workers regarding their workplace rights and benefits. Assists with the following: unpaid wage claims, unemployment insurance, state disability insurance, referrals for worker's compensation, unfair labor practice and immigration status. Also offers information and referral to other agencies. With disability insurance, assists with the initial application process and/or appeals; cannot access EDD records.
