Resource & Outreach Specialist
Sandee has been working in the behavioral health and addiction field for over 25 years in various treatment modalities, including non-profit organizations and private-pay clinics, residential and outpatient, zero-tolerance and medical-assisted treatment programs. Additionally, she has vast experience working with law enforcement agencies such as probation, parole, public defender’s office (as an expert witness in criminal drug and alcohol cases) and juvenile justice. Sandee has served various treatment populations, including women and children, men, and post-offenders.
The reason Sandee is passionate about working with the military is because of her lengthy family history of relatives who have served our country. Sandee has spent all but one of her 25 years in the behavioral health field in upper management, creating and implementing programs in which she served as Program Director, Manager and Executive Clinical Director.
She completed her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, with an emphasis on Business Management in 2005, is a lifetime learner and accomplished her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy (AMFT) with honors. Presently, Sandee is working towards achieving her PhD in Counseling Psychology with completion in 2021. Sandee presently holds a LAADC license with the State of California and has her Supervising Counseling Credentials (CSC), both with the CAADAC (CCAPP Organization). Sandee also served on the editing team for Paradigm Developmental Models of Treatment (Di Stephano, 2010), which is a treatment curriculum that combines the 12 STEPS of recovery (AA, NA) with spiritual and clinical interventions and is utilized to work with chemically dependent clients and progress them through the stages of change.
